Rejection decision of the Council of State

We were informed by the lawyer who had taken the appeal to the Council of State against the wind-turbine-installation in Lykorema and Livadaki that the Supreme Court eventually dismissed the appeal by the Municipality of Karystos, Society for the Protection of the Environment of South Karystia and residents of the area. The CoE's ruling on the court's reasoning will be published later.

This is not the first time the Council of State has rejected an appeal against wind turbines in southern Euboea. It has also been apparent by the previous rejection decisions that justice is not on the part of citizens who are anxious about the fate of their country.

Now it is left to defend the place the residents themselves, so it is important that there is a reaction and a protest in all directions. The Municipality of Karystos is obliged to keep the issue for the wind turbines in Lykorema - Livadaki as well as the rest designed within the boundaries of the municipality.
