Dear members and friends,

We enclose a joint statement of twelve environmental organizations, including the Hellenic Society for the Protection of Nature, requesting the immediate withdrawal of an unacceptable provision in a bill of the Ministry of Development, which leads to the degradation of protected areas, and is in opposition to the Greek legislation.

Στις 20 /2/2021 έγινε έκτακτο Δημοτικό Συμβούλιο στον Δήμο Καρύστου με θέμα την έγκριση από Διϋπουργικό Συμβούλιο ένταξης στην κατηγορία "Εργα Στρατηγικής Σημασίας" 4 αιολικών σταθμών εταιρίας ΕΛΛΑΚΤΩΡ στην Κεντρική και 4 στην Νότια Εύβοια  με  65 ανεμογεννήτριες  στις παρακάτω θέσεις ΔΕ Στυρέων :

- 8 πάνω από τα Πορτολάφια

- 23 στο Νημποριό

- 3 στο εγκαταλελειμμένο χωριό Κελλιά

- 5 κοντά στο φαράγγι του Χάρακα

- 14 στα Μεσοχώρια

- 12 σχετικά κοντά στα Νέα Στύρα απέναντι από την Καβαλλιανή

On 20/2/2021 a special Municipal Council was held in the Municipality of Karystos regarding the approval by the Interministerial Council for the inclusion in the category "Projects of Strategic Significance" of 4 wind farms of ELLAKTOR company in Central and 4 in South Evia with 65 wind turbines in the following locations:

- 8 above the Portolafia

- 23 in Nimborio

- 3 in the abandoned village of Kellia

- 5 near the gorge of Harakas

- 14 in Mesochoria

- 12 relatively close to Nea Styra opposite Kavalliani
